Just 8 inches high in flower, this 14-inch-wide ground hugger is absolutely blanketed in blindingly bright blooms! Very long-lasting on the plant or after cutting, the flowers release a powerful clove-like scent that you'll smell from way across the garden. What a big impact in a small space!

The flowers repeat intermittently in summer and then again in a large flush in early fall, while the needle-like gray-green foliage remains evergreen through winter in most climates. This is a heat- and humidity-tolerant plant, able to hold its own in dry summers and returning for years to bloom heavily. Deer leave it alone, but butterflies visit daily, adding their brilliant colors to those of 'Ruby Sparkles.'
