Flowers all around the stem, for 360-degree beauty!

These stems are ultra-sturdy, ideal for cutting as well as garden enjoyment.

At last, a Foxglove that shows its face! These large rosy-pink to mauve bells are upturned, revealing their freckled interiors even from a distance. Very showy, they create a unique new look for Digitalis.

The blooms crowd tightly along thick, very strong 20-inch stems. Opening from the bottom up, the older blooms turn a rich shade of mauve, while the newer ones sport more rosy hues. All are merrily freckled and held wide open, revealing their interiors as no Foxglove has ever done!

The blooms are most abundant in early summer, but continue intermittently all season in most climates. Attractive to hummingbirds and, because the plant is poisonous, unpalatable to deer and rabbits, Digitalis is one of the joys of the border. Actually a biennial, it flowers heavily for several seasons.

'Candy Mountain' reaches 3 to 4 feet tall and 1 to 2 feet wide, with exceptionally strong stems that make staking unnecessary. The ideal cut flower, it is also irresistible in the border, meadow and woodland plantings, and even in large containers. This distinctive new cultivar performs best in full sun in the north, partial shade farther south. It appreciates organically enriched, well-drained soil, but needs little care to flourish. An absolute "must-grow" for Digitalis lovers everywhere, 'Candy Mountain' is a delight! Highly recommended. Zones 4-9.
