Description / Heuchera Forever® Purple

Heuchera Forever® Purple, the pinnacle of purple foliage plants, retains its vibrant hue throughout all four seasons. Unlike its counterparts, Heuchera Forever® Purple stands out with its robust multi-crown growth pattern and remarkably color-fast leaves. During the peak of summer, magenta pink flower spikes elegantly complement the foliage, adding an extra dimension of charm. Glossy leaves, delicately fluted and untroubled by diseases, contribute to its allure.

Heuchera, a native genus characterized by its woody roots and rounded mounds of ruffled foliage, blooms in late spring with slender flower stalks adorned by small, bell-shaped blossoms, earning it the moniker "coral bells". Adored by hummingbirds and pollinators, Heuchera is a sought-after addition to woodland gardens and shaded areas. Heuchera Forever® Purple thrives in moist, organically rich soil but excels in low-maintenance and cold-hardy conditions. Resilient against both heat and humidity, this stunning heuchera variety flourishes, especially in Southern climates.

This groundbreaking cultivar is indispensable for mixed containers, waterside plantings, and shady borders. Browse our gallery for images showcasing Heuchera Forever® Purple in various climatic settings. With its ultra-purple glossy leaves featuring fluted edges, adorned by purple-pink flowers, Heuchera Forever® Purple is truly a sight to see!

Beautiful color!
Review by Sarah
I was looking for a deer resistant plant for my shady front yard. These plants really hold their color and are a beautiful shade of purple! However the deer have eaten these to the ground everytime I forget to spray deer stop. Maybe it's just deer in NJ haha but the deer are not deterred from eating these plants (which is a claim of the plant - deer resistance). That is the reason for dropping a star. I am moving the little nubs to my backyard to regrow and be protected by fencing. The plants have been eaten to nothing multiple times over the past 2 years but they attempt to bounce back everytime, so very robust otherwise. They seem to like more partial sun than full shade as they are soaking up all day winter sun sitting in my south facing front window and are now growing quickly again. I am on the border of zone 6 and 7 for reference (classified 7).
