Plant Patent Applied For. Cultivar name: 'Harpageant'
The perfect combination of beauty and garden-worthiness, Easy Does It is a large-flowered floribunda that blooms perpetually, stands up to foliar diseases, and sports some of the most colorful flowers in the family. No wonder it was the only 2010 All-America Rose Selection!
Filled with warm colors from mango and orange to peachy pink and apricot, these 4-inch double blooms are delightfully ruffled, unfurling their 26 to 40 petals in layers over their long bloomtime. They arise in generous clusters, giving you a bouquet with a single snip of the shears, and they release a strong, delightful fruit-influenced sweet scent you will love. The bloom begins in early summer and continues robustly all season, only ceasing when the cold autumn weather sets in. A very generous bloomer, this rose attracts butterflies and bees by the dozen!
A bushy, well-branched rose with a naturally rounded habit, Easy Does it reaches about 3 to 4 feet high and wide, with healthy foliage right down to the crown. It stands up to mildew and rust beautifully, refusing to sacrifice a leaf! This is a real boon in warm and rainy climates, where summer can often bring foliar diseases.
Easy Does it was introduced by Harkness Roses of England. Bred from R. ('Queen Charlotte' x 'Della Balfour') x 'Baby Love,' it comes by its rich color and vigorous bloom cycles naturally. We highly recommend this frilly, colorful, tireless floribunda! Zones 5-10.
