One of the best Heucheras for cool climates, 'Green Spice' offers large silver leaves with deep purple veining and dark green edges. The foliage gleams in the sunny to partly shaded garden, and makes a big show in containers of all types. It remains from spring through fall, though its brightest hues appear in cooler temperatures, and no two leaves are patterned exactly alike.Small green blooms top the foliage in late spring, completing the display. This is an easy plant to grow, untroubled by most pests and diseases, and content in dappled shade. It reaches about 10 to 14 inches high and 18 inches wide, tolerating heat, humidity, and other climatic stresses beautifully. Zones 5-9.
