Large, Double Flowers on Stately 6-foot Flower Spikes!
Outstanding planted along a tall garden fence.
The 4- to 6-foot-tall flower spikes of Chater's Double Mix are festooned with huge, heavy, fully double 3- to 5-inch ruffled blooms of brilliant rose, pink, yellow, salmon, scarlet, maroon, and white over a long summer season. An improved mixture that produces larger, more prolific blooms resembling double Peonies, Chater's Mix graces the sunny garden with color of generous proportions. These tall, stately Hollyhocks are ideal lined against a tall garden fence or standing guard as a perennial border background. Despite the fact that they are short-lived biennials, you will enjoy the return on your investment each year as they happily re-seed themselves, even in poor soils. Space plants 2 feet apart in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun for the most prolific flowering and sturdy stems that don't topple over. Unappealing to browsing deer. Zones 2-8.
