Boasting a very heavy bud count and a semi-evergreen habit, this is one of the best cultivars for nonstop color in and out of bloom.The 6-inch blooms offer 3 upper petals of soft lavender above 3 lower petals of lavender so pale it is nearly white. Open for 16 hours (well into evening), the upper petals become much more pale toward late afternoon, offering nice variation in a large planting. This very heavy-budded Daylily flowers over a long early- through midsummer season, adding unusual color to garden or container.
A tetraploid Daylily, 'Eleonore' can withstand the most severe winter climates, yet is also quite heat- and humidity-tolerant.
