This very fast-growing White Eastern Pine offers a columnar shape and natural symmetry, its branches emerging right down to the ground. The ideal screen, barrier, or specimen planting, this tree eventually reaches 60 feet tall and 20 feet wide, with densely held, upswept branching and soft, fine-textured blue-green foliage. Slender 6-inch-long cones dot the foliage, remaining on the tree over a long season. Elegant and easy!
Site this tree in sun to partial shade. When immature, it will hold its branches close to the central trunk, and as it grows, the branches will gradually relax outwards, keeping their upturned curve and creating a very bushy, dense habit. Magnificent! Zones 3-8.
