But the real beauty of this plant is the blooms. "Baby blue" striped in darker blue, they appear profusely just above the long, elegant sword-like leaves. This plant thrives in full sunshine and well-drained, enriched soil. It is poisonous, so pests large and small give it a wide berth. In the garden, it makes a fine foreground planting to Agapanthus 'Blue Heaven', as well as part of a succession planting that might include Hardy Garden Phlox directly after Baby Pete's™ blooms pass.
