What a joy this vigorous, extra long-blooming Milky Bellflower is for the sunny border. The blooms appear in large clusters of soft lilac, wide-open and varying in hue from nearly lavender to nearly white. A tall, majestic presence, 'Loddon Anna' should be part of the backbone of the perennial garden. The flowers begin in midsummer, continuing in great waves into autumn. Even if you normally cut many of the flowers for indoor arrangements (which you certainly should!), leave the final blossoms to dry out on the plant. They will re-seed themselves for a magnificent, ever-increasing display. 'Loddon Anna' is the perfect complement to Roses, and a cut flower lover's delight. When in bloom, this plant reaches 3 to 4 feet high, and it spreads 2 feet. Vigorous, robust, and determined to outbloom any other Campanula in the garden, it is a wonder. Zones 4-8.
