Galium odoratum 'Sweet Woodruff' is an outstanding ground cover. Long a garden favorite, Sweet Woodruff is an ideal ground cover for partially shaded, moist areas. It bears myriad tiny white flowers from late spring to early summer, and its leaves bring the sweet scent of freshly mown hay to the summer air. Foliage is often used in May wine and long lasting sachets. Growing 6 to 8 inches high, in 3 years it spreads 2 feet across. Zones 4-8.
