Living up to its name, the long, slender, pointed foliage of this Hosta is dramatic, with bold yellow to cream edges, heavy rippling, and dense coverage. All of this in a plant just 8 inches high and 6 inches wide!
'Stiletto' makes a bold statement in any setting, but is perhaps most effective as edging along pathways or in fine containers, where its small-scale beauty can be admired at closer range. Even the blooms are notable on this cultivar, their purple stripes adding a merry touch to the shade. Expect them in late summer, after the flowers of most other Hostas have passed.
Pair this diminutive beauty with other Hostas from blue-green Hosta tokudama f. aureo-nebulosa to lively 'Paul's Glory'. Long-lived and very tolerant of heat, humidity, cold, poor soil, and even (once established) drought, 'Stiletto' is a stylish accent. Zones 3-8.
