Butterflies Adore It!
Rich blue blooms begin in midsummer and continue into fall.

This superior clone of the Blue Mist Shrub was selected at Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania for its upright growth, long bloomtime, heavy flower production, and superb silvery foliage. A garden standout that needs little attention to look its best for years, 'Longwood Blue' is a fine addition to the sunny to partly shaded garden!

This shrub is just 1 1/2 to 2 feet tall and 2 feet wide, but it makes a big impact even in a small space. As a long, glorious hedge (as pictured here at Longwood Gardens), it is breathtaking. Butterflies can't resist these blue blooms, adding even more color to the garden!

'Longwood Blue' blooms most heavily from midsummer into fall, continuing through those late-summer doldrums that can make a garden look spent. Its flowers are a rich, hard-to-find shade of blue, and make fine cut flowers. They're nicely complemented by the silvery hues on the foliage!

Upright and never sprawling or rangy, 'Longwood Blue' is an altogether superior selection of the beloved Blue Mist Shrub. Give it a try in your garden this season!

Space shrubs 18 to 24 inches apart in well-drained soil in full sun in the North or partial shade in the South. Zones 5-9.
