Just as vigorous and beautiful as its parent 'Striptease', it boasts a snowy white center (instead of yellow) and fascinating twisty leaf tips! You can't find a showier edging or accent plant for the shade garden!Two feet high and wide, this symmetrical little plant sets crisply layered leaves with an eye-catching twist at the tip. The white variegation remains all summer on this very heat- and humidity-tolerant plant, offset by pale lavender blooms (nothing to get excited about!) in late season. Very showy indeed, and SO quick-growing and vigorous!
If you're new to Hosta growing, you're in for a treat. Like most Hostas, 'Risky Business' is very tolerant of just about any soil and weather conditions. Hardy from one end of the country to the other, it improves with age, its leaves becoming more richly textured with each passing year of its long, long life. Periodically you can dig it up and whack the rooty crown into several new plants, or simply let the older ones grow more magnificent with the passing of time!
