Picea abies 'Little Gem' is perfect for a focal point in a raised bed, border, foundation, or container. This diminutive Norway Spruce retains its very dwarf, dense habit, ultimately reaching a height of only 1 foot with similar spread.
Evergreen and easy to grow in full sun (or light shade in southern climates), 'Little Gem' greets spring with new purple-tinted foliage. By summer it attains its bright green hues. Its shape is naturally rounded, and needs no pruning, but may be trimmed if desired in early spring. Best in cool climates, 'Little Gem' makes a fine accent in any setting. Zones 4-8.
