Giant Double Blooms of Pure Crimson
Blooms unfurl very slowly, prolonging the season of beauty.
Plant Patent #13,023

Extraordinary flower form and size distinguish this breathtaking Camellia, a very late bloomer with slow growth and a heavy bud count. Its fully double blooms reach 4 inches wide, with layer upon layer of symmetrical crimson petals, forming a perfect rosette as intricate as a paper flower.

'Nuccio's Bella Rossa' is the creation of Nuccio's Nurseries of California, a premier source of superior breeding for many decades. It is the jewel in the crown of any Camellia collection, its giant blooms packing more petals (and in a more beautiful array) than any other we have grown. Expect the flowers to begin in earliest spring -- opening very slowly, as if to keep you in suspense! -- and to continue right through the season, extending your Camellia season by months!

This robust performer reaches just 6 to 8 feet high and wide after a decade's growth, eventually topping out at 25 feet high and 20 feet wide. It begins blooming at a very young age, and is long-lived and easy to grow. Few evergreen accents are as handsome, heavy-blooming, or adaptable. Do find a home for it in your landscape! Zones 8-10.
