New Spring Foliage is Pink
A dwarf selection from Holland with late blooms of ivory-white.

Synonym: Andromeda japonica 'Prelude'. A spring delight of soft pink foliage and pure white blooms, this dwarf Japanese Pieris is attention getting in container or garden. The new leaves keep their color for weeks, while the flowers, appearing a bit later than most others in the family, are arrayed along dark stems that show off their clean, fresh beauty. A landscape accent you must have!

Just 18 to 24 inches high, this dwarf is mounded and well-branched, reaching up to 3 feet wide. Its leaves reach 2 inches long, and by summer have acquired the glossy dark green tone they will keep through winter. A handsome evergreen accent that tolerates any well-drained soil, 'Prelude' is even suitable for the rock garden. Very adaptable, its small size makes it appealing in the perennial border as well as the foundation and shrub border. Zones 5-9.
