The Deepest, Richest Red Ever!
This newcomer is sure to set the Amaryllis world on its ear!
Consider your holiday decorating over and done with when these giant, indescribably lush dark red blooms begin opening! The deepest, most velvety color yet, they are so smoky-red as to appear black in the center! And you get a bouquet on every sturdy stem of this high-performing Dutch wonder!

Benfica is the latest color sensation, a far cry from the shrill scarlet and crimson tones of many earlier varieties. These blooms coordinate perfectly with the deep Christmas reds of the holiday season, and also brighten the late-winter indoor landscape! You may just have to splurge on your own ultra-fancy container for this incredible Amaryllis!

A full 7 inches across, the blooms arise 8 to 10 weeks after fall planting, and last for several weeks when removed from direct sunlight. The stems are quite sturdy, about 2 feet tall and 1 to 2 feet wide (when you count the lush, cascading foliage!). Easy to grow and very reliable, this top-quality 28- to 30-centimeter bulb is shipped to you fresh from our world-class Dutch growing fields. You will get years of enjoyment from this plant!

Benfica is hardy in zones 8-10, so if you want to plant it in the sunny or lightly shaded garden, space the bulbs about a foot apart in any well-drained garden soil. Indoors, plant one bulb per 6- to 8-inch pot. Enjoy!
