Basketball-Sized Blooms Last for Months!
These giant 6- to 9-inch flowerheads open green, then turn deep violet, and may be dried as Everlastings for months of beauty!
Giant Allium is a spectacular beauty, offering incredible 6- to 9-inch flowerheads that begin green, then mature to a long-lasting rich violet. The species from which the famous Globemaster is bred, it is magnificent in the early summer garden. Bloomstalks reach 48 to 52 inches tall; space the bulbs 15 to 18 inches apart.

Allium's huge, round flowerheads covered with bright stars are dramatic in the garden and very long-lasting (fresh or dried) in the vase. Easy to grow and very heat-tolerant, they bloom readily during early summer in full sun and well-drained soil. Zones 4-8.
