Winner of the Green Thumb Award
Cabana™ displays striking coloration and a distinctive spicy fragrance.
Plant Patent # 13,089. Cultivar name: 'JACepirt.' Striking coloration and a distinctive spicy fragrance earned this rose the Green Thumb Award. Each deep pink flower opens from a pointed, ovoid bud to show off 26 to 40 petals painted with soft yellow stripes. On average, the blooms reach 4 ˝ inches across. Cabana™ reaches a height of about 5 to 5 ˝ feet, offering semi-glossy, dark green foliage and flushes of gorgeous blooms throughout the season. It should be pruned in the spring, with the removal of old canes and dead wood. Cut back canes that cross each other. Gardeners in warmer climates will want to cut the remaining canes by one-third, while those in colder climates will probably need to trim it a bit more. It requires winter protection if the wind chill factor is expected to drop below 20 F/ -7 C. Zones 7-10.
