A Low-Growing, Non-Suckering Shrub for All Seasons!

Half the height and twice the width of the popular C. 'Winter Fire.'

Plant Patent Applied For. cv: 'Cato.' The perfect low hedge, border standout, or mass planting, this low-growing, non-suckering dwarf Yellowtwig offers fresh color for every season. In winter, its bright yellow stems, tipped in red, gleam in the gray landcape. In spring its foliage leafs out a very light green, topped by white blooms in late spring to summer and followed by dark purple berries that last into autumn. And in fall, the leaves turn golden before falling.

Half the height and twice the width of the popular variety C. 'Winter Fire,' this Andre van Nijnatten introduction is highly adaptable. It is far more tolerant of limey soils than most other Dogwoods, and is very well-branched and dense, without the rangy look of earlier varieties that tend to sucker as they grow. Its fibrous roots make it easy to transplant and establish in the garden, and its maintenance is minimal other than an annual trim of its showy stems.

Arctic Sun™ is hardy to -35 degrees F. Use it as a low hedge, in the border, or as a mass planting. It will delight you with its constant color changes and year-round beauty. Zones 4-7.
