In bud these blooms look somewhat darker, their grape-purple exteriors revealing no hint of the vivid color within. As they open, they reveal large florets that crowd along the flowerspike, both brighter and more abundant than ever before! Expect them to begin in midsummer and continue through mid-fall, delighting butterflies and bees as well as filling the garden with their sweet scent.

'Miss Ruby' is compact and bushy at 4 to 5 feet high and 3 to 4 feet wide, with better branching than many Buddleia.
