Three Seasons of Changing Foliage!
The soft pink blooms are profuse along arching stems, complementing the yellow leaves.
Cultivar name: 'Maradco.' For three-season foliage interest and splendid spring blooms, there is no finer plant than this lovely Beautybush. Very easy to care for and adaptable to stress (including resistance to deer), it is a trouble-free shrub that brings years of ever-changing beauty to the partly shaded garden. The show begins in early spring, when the new foliage leafs out in bright copper tones. This quickly changes to bold yellow, and remains that way through the weeks of mid-spring bloom, when soft pink blooms arise in great numbers along arching stems. Summer brings chartreuse and lime-green tones to the leaves, and in autumn they turn deep shades of orange and gold, with darker tips. Simply spectacular! A fast-growing and very vigorous shrub, Dream Catcher™ reaches 6 to 9 feet high and 4 to 6 feet wide in most climates. This is a shrub to treasure, so site it where you can enjoy the everchanging foliage each day. It flourishes best in filtered shade, such as an understory planting beneath trees. A good choice for woodland and open settings, Dream Catcher™ is left alone by deer, and adapts to any soil provided the drainage is good. Pamper it the first season or two and then let it take off -- maintenance-free and beautiful from spring 'til frost! Zones 4-9.
