Brilliant Flowers Over Three Seasons
This beauty knows you can never have too much of a good thing
This beauty knows you can never have too much of a good thing. Golden Star is a fine native ground cover for sun or partial shade, with one of the longest bloom seasons of any perennial. It blooms continuously from late winter to fall in cool climates, but in warmer climates it will flower in late winter, rest for the summer, then bloom again in fall. The bright yellow flowers arise above scalloped foliage that reaches just 4 to 6 inches high. This easy-care plant spreads rapidly, particularly in moist, organic soils, making a wonderful choice for underplanting trees, shrubs, and perennials. Zones 5-9.
