Herd of Elephant's Ears Collection
'Diamond Head' boasts a sheen highly unusual for Colocasia cultivars -- the brilliant violet to black leaves are elegantly rippled and beautifully held up and out for maximum showiness. Reaching up to 2½ feet long, each leaf is distinctive and brilliantly bold. This 2008 introduction from breeder John Cho adds a new dimension to the perennial Elephant Ear family.
By far the cold-hardiest of our Elephant Ears, 'Black Magic' thrives in zone 7 and above, and doesn't mind a little (or even a lot!) of sun -- in fact, the light brings out its best smoky, maroon-black hues! 5 to 6 feet tall and wide, with brilliant burgundy stems that just make the dusty purple leaves stand out all the more beautifully, 'Black Magic' is a must-have for patio, entryway, or garden accent extraordinaire!
Each huge olive-green leaf on 'Mojito' is flecked, spotted, and patched with dark purple to black, creating a fascinating "splattered" look that shows to best effect in partial shade. The individual leaves reach 2 feet long and 1 foot wide on fast-growing plants ideal for containers or the garden. Zones 7-10.
