Nepeta Little Trudy® PP#18,904
Forms a Low, Dense Mound of Color and Scent!
As delightful an herb as Catmint can be, there are times when we wish it were a bit more compact and less rangy. The foliage is the interesting part for cats -- snap the stems and they go wild! -- but the blooms appeal more to gardeners, not to mention to the bees and butterflies. Well, Little Trudy® has come along to satisfy all our needs. It's compact, very floriferous, and long-blooming. The perfect Catmint!
This dwarf variety reaches just 10 to 12 inches high and spreads to 18 inches wide, every bit of it packed with fresh silvery-green foliage and showy blue blooms. Forming a tight, low mound, Little Trudy® always looks dense and full, thanks to better branching and very finely cut foliage.
Great for the border, as edging, and in containers, this is an ideal addition to any sunny spot. The blooms begin in early summer and continue until fall. Then you can cut up the foliage for sachets and cat toys. Useful, carefree, and certain to bring in the butterflies and bees, Little Trudy® deserves a home in your showy border as well as the herb garden! Zones 4-9.
