What's better than a blanket of flowers? A blanket of flowers covered in a sea of butterflies! This beautiful Creeping Phlox offers both treats in spades. North Hills has needle like foliage that is evergreen. We're telling you now because you won't be able to see much of it once countless blooms cover the entire plant in floral magic! One can't help but to be charmed by the crisp white and violet blue flowers that flow over the ground like a fountain. This Phlox is fairly petite, topping out at just 12 to 18 inches high, but its spreading habit makes it an excellent ground cover. Deer avoid it, but pollinators adore it, particularly butterflies and even hummingbirds! This lovely perennial prefers full sun and an established Phlox can bear many of nature's stresses gracefully such as drought, humidity and poor soil. Zones 2 to 9.

Tough, beautiful little plant

I like low maintenance plants, particularly evergreens. I'm hard on plants. I forget to water, fertilize, prune. This little groundcover has survived it all and has spread to fill in a small 1'x3' area and is beginning to cascade down the rock wall. I am on the border of zone 6 and 7. It blooms multiple times for me. This plant bloomed in March, May, and now has a few new blooms in late August. It also bloomed a little bit in late June. Last year it bloomed in November as well. Really nice plant and so easy. Even without blooms it is nice to look at - the leaves are spikey needles in a somewhat glossy medium green, nice texture contrast to broad leaf plants. It has also stood up to a little bit of foot traffic - my dogs stand/lay on it occasionally.
