Sedum telephium 'Marchants Best Red'
Very compact at just 2 feet high and a tad wider!
We are honored to offer 'Marchants Best Red,' a highly admired but rarely encountered Sedum cultivar -- even in England where it was originally selected and where it received the prestigious Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticulture Society in 2006!
This compact, brilliant rosy-red Sedum boasts the best autumn color we have yet seen, with dark red stems and red-flushed chartreuse foliage in addition to its stunning 2 ½-inch inflorescences. Very long-lasting, the blooms remain on the plant after the first frosts, catching the falling snow.
Selected by Graham Gough, 'Marchants Best Red' (named for a premier British nursery) is superb for containers as well as the border. Zones 4-8.
