Syringa Bloomerang® Purple PP#20,575
Great for cutting, and so colorful on the shrub!
Bloomerang® is such an improvement over older Lilac varieties, it might as well be a new species! This reblooming wonder is super-compact, fragrant, heavily budded, and just a flowering machine for 4 months or more every year!
Reaching just 4 to 5 feet high and 4 feet wide, Bloomerang® Purple is bushy and well-branched, with masses and masses of fragrant purply-pink blooms. The heaviest cycle is in spring, when the shrub simply transforms itself into a mass of color. But after resting for a few weeks, it returns in midsummer and continues with another show well into fall!
Ideal for cutting, these blooms have that heavenly, unmistakeable lilac scent that says, "Spring is here" in every self-respecting northern garden. Cut all you like for the vase; there are plenty to go around on this shrub! They perfume the garden deliciously. And Bloomerang® has proven very resistant to powdery mildew, that scourge of Lilac in wet climates and humid areas.
Left alone by deer and easy to grow, Bloomerang® is a must-have shrub for the sunny to lightly shaded garden. Zones 4-7.
