Twist and Shout is a wonderful hydrangea that provides beautiful lace-cap blooms. In my upper Midwest garden I get more consistent blooms from my two Twist and Shout shrubs than I do from my two Endless Summer Hydranges. Their flower mass may not be as large as Endless Summer, but there are more flower clusters. A thoroughly enchanting shrub.

I live in the Chicago area where weather can be fickle. Last winter was horrible. I had to cut all of my hydrangeas down to the ground, and I thought I might have lost them. They looked horrible. Well, they grew, they bloomed, they were beautiful! "Twist and Shout" has just out done itself. It has bloomed with new blooms all summer each one larger and more beautiful than the next. I didn't think I would like the lace caps that much as I usually preferred the mop heads. This one has become my favorite. I give it some acid, and it blooms blue here in our alkaline soil. It is easy to take care of and has just been a show stopper all season.
