Arp Rosemary (pack of 3)

Rosmarinus officinalis 'Arp'

The cook's favorite, Arp is a great Rosemary for our American climate. It handles the colder winters and higher humidity better than most others, refusing to melt out in summer or die back in winter. And the fragrance is legendary!

Naturally rounded and well-branched, this shrubby plant is just 3 to 4 feet high and wide, small enough for large containers as well as the perennial or shrub border. Like all rosemary, it loves full sun, excellent soil drainage, and dryish conditions.

Rich green foliage is petite and pointed, held on stiff stems. Quite fragrant, it can be used as fresh seasoning or dried for potpourri, sachets, and dream pillows. The branching is so dense on this rosemary that you can "shape" it with shears without fear of exposing gaps and holes!

Light blue flowers top the foliage in midsummer, lasting for many weeks. They too are fragrant, and butterflies visit them regularly. Consider planting Arp in the vegetable patch as well as the ornamental garden, for it brings pollinators on the wing! Long-lived and easy, it is a plant every garden deserves. Although this is marketed as an annual for all climates, it is hardy in zones 6-10. Each pot contains 1 plant. Contains three 4-inch pots.
