The first blueberry to set two crops a season, Perpetua™ is part of the BrazelBerries® series of edible ornamental fruit shrubs. The small berries are extra-sweet, the white blooms arise two times a year, and the fall foliage changes are magnificent!

Just 4 to 5 feet high and wide (smaller in containers), Perpetua is beautiful in every season. Spring brings new foliage emerging in curled twists, followed by white blooms. With summer comes the first crop of berries, ripening by midsummer in most climates. These are followed by another bloom cycle, and a second crop of berries matures in fall. Meanwhile, the foliage turns shades of red for autumn, and as it drops, bright yellow and red canes are revealed, remaining colorful all winter!

Easy to grow, this blueberry asks only for acidic, well-drained soil in full sunshine everywhere but the far south and west, where a bit of shade is appreciated. Prune the shrub lightly in early spring to remove dead stems, feed it well all season, and begin enjoying fresh, tasty berries right from your deck! Self-pollinating, you need grow only one, but the crops may be bigger with multiple shrubs grown close to one another. Zones 4 to 8.
