Cinnamon to purple coloring distinguishes this beautiful selection of the native Mountain Laurel! One of the creations of the famed Dr. Richard Jaynes, this broadleaf evergreen is a lovely choice for part shade!

In late spring and early summer, dozens of blooms open in 4- to 6-inch clusters. Rimmed in white, they are burgundy to cinnamon-red, very striking! They really do resemble the bull's eye for which this plant is named!

'Bullseye' reaches 4 to 5 feet tall and 3 to 4 feet wide. You will find it very easy to grow in the garden in partial shade (especially in the South), and cool, moist, well-drained, aerated, acidic soil. Plant with the root ball high or almost above ground level, hilling up the base with a heavy mulch. Zones 4-8.
