Description

Boxwood just keeps getting better, though it's going to be very, very hard to top Sprinter®. A Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Flowering Shrubs variety, Sprinter is an improved selection of the popular 'Winter Gem', with faster growth, better cold-hardiness, and a denser, bushier, upright habit. The shrub blooms in early spring; however, the flowers are insignificant.

This little evergreen shrub is ideal for sun or part shade, rapidly reaching its mature size of just 2 to 4 feet high and wide. The well-branched plants have small, glossy foliage that's disease resistant, including to boxwood blight. No waiting around for Sprinter to fill out and reach maturity; as its name suggests, it races to the finish line and then rests on its laurels. Sprinter is hardier than English boxwood, and without the characteristic odor too. It's the perfect landscape accent for garden or container.

Use Sprinter along the driveway, as a foundation accent, in the border, or in a large planting along a path. It remains neat, needs no trimming, and is fuss-free. One of the best new plants for the garden.
