Canna Yara™ Bulbs

This dwarf canna packs more blooming beauty on its 2-foot body than other cannas twice its size. With Canna Yara™ spreading habit, it grows just 18 to 24 inches tall and then becomes bushy, with blooms smothering the top of the plant in a profuse display of vibrant yellow. This German cultivar is an unusually vigorous dwarf with very thick rhizomes. The oval-shaped body is vigorous, quickly growing up and starting its bloom show. And while many cannas have the tendency to come on sporadically, leaving some blooms looking lonely, Yara™ blooms in profusion, with several flowers crowded on to each short flower stalk.

The blooms arise from the center of the plant on thick, sturdy stalks (go ahead, pick one every now and again—they're so showstopping in the vase.) They begin in early summer and continue right into fall, standing out brilliantly against the green foliage.

The graceful tropical beauty of Canna Yara™ is ideal beside the pool, on a sunny patio, or along an exposed walkway. For the best effect, plant Yara™ in a row (space the rhizomes about 1 foot apart). The cheerful blooms and jungle-like foliage produce a great colorful hedge along any path (the longer the better). Yara™ will also be a welcome addition to any sunny bed or border, where it can shine alongside other sun-soaked beauties.

Yara™ is relatively easy to care for, thriving in almost any well-drained soil. This vigorous grower and floriferous bloomer does like to "eat" a lot, however. Be sure to give it plenty of sun, lots of water, and regular fertilizing. And if you live north of Zone 8, overwinter this tropical perennial indoors and replant it in the spring. With proper care, Yara™ will quickly reward you with lush spotted yellow blooms for years to come.
