Description / Tulip Foxtrot & Hyacinth Blue Jacket Blend Bulbs
Plant this 50/50 mix of Foxtrot tulip and Blue Jacket hyacinth bulbs in early to mid fall, and in early to mid-spring they bloom in a pretty pink and blue blend of wonderfully fragrant, bee-friendly flowers. Foxtrot, a Double Early tulip, looks similar to a peony, with its bowl-shaped blooms packed with a double row of petals in various shades of rose, pink, and white. Blue Jacket is an RHS award-winning hyacinth with substantial flower spikes dense with deep blue florets having a dark purple stripe down the middle of each petal. This dramatic duo has complementary bloom times and heights, each growing to approximately 8 to 12 inches tall, with tulips flowering first followed closely by the hyacinths for a simultaneous finish. The bountiful blooms are long-lasting and make great cut flowers for spring bouquets or mixed arrangements.
Tulip Foxtrot & Hyacinth Blue Jacket Blend varieties are typically grown as annuals; but grown Zone appropriately in ideal conditions, they may multiply and return for several years. This blend looks best when massed or grouped in beds, borders, or patio pots. They also look great planted along walkways.
