This delicate yellow rose is already a gardener favorite soon after its release. The petals are a soft yellow set off by a darker golden eye and almost white outer petals that almost produce a glowing effect. The moderate fragrance has been described as green tea with a hint of lemon and honey.
Pale yellow roses are rare, and this flowering shrub remains compact and tidy throughout its growth and into maturity. It is perfect for using in a border, a small garden, a large hedge, or even in a large pot.
Vanessa Bell™ blooms consistently from early summer until frost. The David Austin® team considers it one of their most free-flowering varieties. It was named for English artist Vanessa Bell (1879-1961), a founding member in 1905 of the Bloomsbury Group, along with her sister, writer Virginia Wolfe.
