This fertilizer is well suited for azaleas, rhododendrons, camellias, and similar shrubs grown in beds, borders, and foundation plantings. Apply in early spring at the first sign of bloom color, then again in late fall at half the spring rate. For best results, sprinkle around the drip line and water thoroughly. In mulched areas, remove mulch before application or increase the rate if applying over mulch. The formula is safe for people, pets, and the environment, making it a practical choice for home landscapes.

For trees, apply 1 pound per inch of trunk diameter and adjust for larger specimens. For shrubs, use 1 cup per foot of branch spread and increase as plants mature. When preparing new beds, mix 10 pounds per 100 square feet into the top layer of soil. Established beds can be maintained with 5 pounds per 100 square feet. Do not apply to frozen soil.
