A reblooming dwarf azalea from Proven Winners®, Rhododendron Perfecto Mundo® Pink Carpet™ sets large clusters of multi-hued pink flowers, not for mere weeks, but for months. This evergreen azalea blooms on old wood in spring; and later, after a brief rest, it blooms with gusto on new wood in late summer, continuing until autumn frosts. A light pruning after the spring bloom will encourage new growth and new blooms.
Award-winning plant breeder Dr. Tom Ranney of NCSU created this revolutionary series. Evergreen azaleas with a neat, dense, mounded habit of handsome dark green foliage and lacebug resistance that bloom in spring, late summer, and right into fallwhat more could you want?
Shown to best effect when mass planted, Perfecto Mundo Pink Carpet grows wider than tall and can be grown as a ground cover to create low drifts of color in perennial beds, mixed borders, and foundations. But it's also a beautiful specimen.
An easy-care plant, Perfecto Mundo Pink Carpet prefers full to part sun and cool, light, evenly moist, fast-draining soil with high organic matter and an acidic pH of 5 to 6.
