A magnificent Japanese Forest Grass with bold spiky texture, creamy-white stripes in spring and summer, and flushes of pink in autumn, Fubuki™ is the ideal edging, container subject, border standout, or foundation trim. This slow-growing shade lover will be one of the highlights of your garden, offering unusual beauty season after season.
Just 8 to 12 inches high and up to 18 inches wide, Fubuki™ forms a mound of long, spiky leaves with a somewhat cascading habit. The name means "snowstorm" in Japanese, and the white stripes really do stand out beautifully in the shade. They persist through summer, even in hot climates, turning pink when the cold autumn temperatures arrive.
Like most Japanese Forest Grass, Fubuki™ is quite easy to grow in well-drained soil of average fertility. It is slow to establish and grow, yet is untroubled by most pests and diseases. This is a low-maintenance plant that will bring you pleasure for years to come! Zones 4-9.
