Best of all you won't have to worry about your poppies getting munched by rabbits or deer since they find them unsavory. While Harlem prefers rich, well-drained soil, it tolerates poor soil quite well, opening up a world of possibility for those of us with less than perfect ground to work with. Water this gem only during the hottest part of the season. Thrives best in zones 3-7.
