The show begins in early spring, when literally thousands of wide open, pure white blooms open on chartreuse stems, dangling like parachutes among the fresh green leaves. The scent is sweetly intoxicating, and the display is breathtaking. 'Fragrant Fountain' is far more floriferous than earlier varieties, and you will appreciate its out-of-this-world show as spring turns to summer before the blooms pass!
The lush foliage on 'Fragrant Fountain' is dark green, remaining fresh and handsome all summer, then turning bright gold for several weeks before dropping in late fall. Spring-to-summer blooms, powerful fragrance, fall color, and elegant weeping habit -- is there anything this shrub doesn't have?!
Well, wasted space, for one thing. Perfect for today's smaller gardens, 'Fragrant Fountain' reaches only 6 feet high and 5 feet wide. It grows quickly and vigorously, but stays compact over its long lifetime. Perfect as a specimen in a small space, it's also a nice patio accent in a large container, and does well in the partly shaded border, threaded through fences, and draped over walls or terraces.
