  • Description / Hydrangea Fairytrail Fresco™ Cascade Hydrangea

A Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Flowering Shrubs variety, Fairytrail Fresco™ is a cascading hydrangea that grows to a mature size of about 3 to 4 feet high and 4 to 5 feet wide. One of the earliest hydrangea to flower, this cascading hydrangea blooms from late spring to early summer. It sets flower buds at every leaf node, creating a garland-like effect with large mopheads that are either pink or blue depending on the pH of the soil: flowers will be pink in alkaline soils and blue in acidic soils. The flowering stems are excellent for bouquets and cut flower arrangements, fresh or dried. Fairytrail Fresco also extends its season of interest as its lush green foliage turns red in the fall.

A Hydrangea hybrid, commonly called cascade hydrangea, Fairytrail Fresco is perfect for a specimen in a container or garden bed, but it looks its best mass planted and is an excellent foundation plant.

Fairytrail Fresco is an easy-to-grow, low maintenance shrub that performs best in partly sunny to shady locations with moist, freely draining soil, but it tolerates clay soil and heat.
