Punica / Pomegranate

The pomegranate shrub, or small tree, is one of the easiest fruits to keep, as it resists most pests and diseases. The juicy, tart pulp of the pomegranate is rich in antioxidants and vitamins, its tangy flavor most often enjoyed as a juice, either alone or mixed with others. Perfect for the sunniest spots in the yard, the pomegranate is fairly drought tolerant, its pretty foliage even staying evergreen in warmer areas.
