Evercolor® Everlime Weeping Sedge

Evercolor® Everlime Weeping Sedge

Carex oshimensis 'Everlime' USPPP. cv. 'Everlime'.

US Plant Patent Pending. Cultivar Name: 'Everlime'.

The lime green edging on this evergreen sedge is wonderfully bright! Part of the Evercolor™ series, 'Everlime' takes the same brilliant, reliable gold tones of its parent 'Everillo' and adds an auspicious mutation that creates a variegated pattern, with deep green centers edged in the signature chartreuse.

Since 'Everillo' was discovered in Ireland by Pat Fitzgerald, the Genus has never been the same! The EverColors™ get attention for their distinctive colors, but their garden performance is just as noteworthy! Thriving best in part shade and moist soil, these cultivars are lifesavers for those dark, wet spots where nothing else seems to grow. This highly adaptable series thrives and puts out good color in a wide variety of conditions, including full sun or even the dreaded dry shade!

'Everlime' adds a more sophisticated look to this incredible series. Use it in mixed containers, as a naturalizing underplanting to add golden tones to the woodland garden, or as a gorgeous groundcover to prevent erosion in areas where storm water flows through. In mass plantings it will work to prevent erosion, and you will be rewarded with a spectacle every time the wind blows through the foliage, sending the bicolor blades bobbing and swaying as if to some jaunty tune.

This sedge is a lovely choice for naturalizing. Let it move in drifts throughout the shaded, moist parts of your garden and it will grow into impressive stands of broad, variegated leaves! It is also a rare beauty for the middle of the rain garden. Deer leave it alone, and it holds a beautiful color and form with no need to fertilize or prune! Zones 5 to 9.

Pack of 6 contains 6 3½" pots

Gorgeous color

This is a beautiful lime color. The plants arrived full and lush. Packaged well. Don’t like styrofoam peanuts, but no damage to the plants. I’m VERY pleased with the size and condition of the plants. I would order from Wayside Gardens again.
