Jungle grass dances in the breeze

Named after Hakone, the region of Japan from where these jungle grasses hail, Hakonechloa plants are a fun and fetching way to cover the ground in your most shaded or wooded areas.  The long, spiky leaves resemble bamboo, but come in a variety of alluring colors.  From small, colorful accent plants to large, cascading clusters, the Hakonechloa all thrive in moisture-retaining soil with at least partial shade.  For a real treat, watch the wind blow through these long, flowing leaves.
