Helleborus 'First Dance' Wedding Party®

Hardy and One of the Earliest Blooming Perennials

Hardy, evergreen, and one of the earliest blooming perennials, 'First Dance' produces a showy display of 2-inch, sunny yellow, double flowers with a green eye and maroon edges and veins. The flowers attract bees and make stunning kitchen table bouquets and nosegays.

Best when massed or grouped, Lenten roses should be planted where they can naturalize and spread with an extensive root system. A moist woodland area is a perfect location. However, since they are drought and salt tolerant and deer and rabbit resistant, they are easily grown almost anywhere and even work well in patio containers. In mixed beds, carex, dicentra, ferns, and heuchera are good companions.
