Description / Iris Miss Saigon Dutch Iris Bulbs
Plant Iris Miss Saigon Dutch Iris Bulbs in fall, and in late spring, they bloom in lavender, gold, and cream flowers that resemble large butterflies. The fragrant flowers are borne on tall, sturdy stems atop grassy foliage that stays fresh-looking all season. They make elegant, long-lasting cuts for spring bouquets.
Dutch Iris bulbs are often grown as annuals, but grown in appropriate Zones, the bulbs multiply every year and are great for naturalizing. Dutch Irises are so easy to grow they're virtually foolproof. They grow almost anywhere but perform best in sunny to partially shady locations with fertile, well-draining soil. Plant to a depth of 5 inches. They are shown to best effect when planted in a large drift or in groups of 10 to 15 bulbs in mixed beds, borders, or containers. In regions with cold winters, bulbs can be planted outdoors in spring, dug up in fall after the leaves have withered, dried, stored, and replanted the following spring.
