Description
A dwarf selection the beloved native Virginia sweetspire, Little Henry® delivers all the color, fragrance, and presence of its full-sized cousins without the bulky habit.
Just 2 to 3 feet high and no more than 3 feet wide, Itea Little Henry® begins the season with light green foliage, very dense and appealing. Before spring turns to summer, the blooms have begunlong firecrackers of silver-white, sweet-scented and pointing in all directions. Pollinators flutter right in to enjoy these blooms over many weeks. And then in fall, when the flowers are long gone and the season might be thought to be over, the green leaves turn handsome shades of scarlet and crimson.
Itea Little Henry® is very easy to grow, this native shrub thrives in sun or shade, and is impervious to most pests and diseases. It doesn't mind wet feet or poor soil. You must find a place for it this seasonthe show is just too good to miss.
