Beautiful even when neglected

I planted one several years ago and am always delighted when I start my spring clean up and see this hardy little plant in bloom. When I said hardy, I mean it. I plant it and it must grow with my great expectations rather that lots of attention.

We purchased two of the Jack Frost, we based our decision on the very helpful grow zone chart, and the fact that it would be quite shaded. They plant has not yet flowered, but it looks healthy and is growing. I love the white on the leaves! Another great purchase from Wayside.

Brunnera, if planted in the right place and soil, is a fabulous addition to the shade garden - with a backdrop of tall ferns and in the company of shy Liriope or Pulmonaria.
